On the road out of Yosemite towards Merced several range areas were covered in beautiful carpets of green due to heavy recent rains. At one point cattle were grazing on an expansive field dotted with perfectly shaped trees. When I stopped to view the scene most of the cattle scattered. One brave soul however stood his ground and began to approach. His white face was unique amongst the other members of the herd, and so much the better for this photograph.
