Yosemite National Park
Winter provides a wonderful time to visit Yosemite National Park. Crowds are not so large and the cozy warmth of fires in the lodges make for the kind of feel often read about in enchanting novels. This was a cold day, and dynamic clouds filled the sky while wisps of fog and mist appeared in the woods below. Bridal Veil Falls was in full torrent from recent snow and rain. The crisp clear air allowed every detail in the majestic granite walls to be visible even from this long distance. - Dan McGeorge
