On the night of a bright full moon the sky was uncharacteristically clear in the wee hours of the morning. Knowing the relative brightness the moon can provide on a night scene I headed for a spot that provided a good vantage point of the San Diego skyline, hoping for some interesting light. I did not expect this. Smooth water, undisturbed in the calm morning air, allowed for the most intriguing and exciting reflection of San Diego I think I've ever seen. Well before dawn nothing was in the sky or the bay to detract from this remarkable sight. It was well worth being an early bird on this incredible morning. -Dan McGeorge
