Moon Above
Coronado, California
Sometimes the moon adds dimension to a photographic scene, even if it isn't the predominant element. Here the sun had set, leaving a pink and orange radiance floating above distant Point Loma and the sea. These soft colors were reflected in the shimmer of a receding low tide. Accentuating this, blues in higher level clouds and a gently curving foreground provided additional depth and beauty. Above it all a delightful crescent moon shone through. - Dan McGeorge
